Dhaka University Admission Circular 2021-2022

A new system has been introduced in the DU admission test from the 2019- 20 academic year. From that admission test, MCQ and written test are introduced. Today, the new method of the DU admission test and other issues were discussed in detail.

Dhaka University Admission test schedule

The admission test of Dhaka University will be held in 8 departments. You have to choose any one category at the time of application.

Eligibility of application

Candidates must pass SSC or equivalent examination between 2018 and 2019. Only those who have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in 2021 can apply. Different qualifications are required to apply for admission tests in different units. Below are the application qualifications for all the units:

A-Unit (Science Department)

Candidates who have passed Alim and IGCSE / O Level and IAL / GCE A-Level examinations in Science and Agricultural Science Baird and Science Branch of Madrasa Education Baird have a minimum GPA of 7.00 in both Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations (including 4th subject). They apply for admission. Can do, However, if you have a GPA of less than 3.5 in any exam, you cannot apply.

B-Unit (Humanities)

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Baird in the Humanities will have a minimum GPA of 7.50 in the Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations (including 4th subject) and will be able to apply for admission. However, if you have a GPA of less than 3.0 in any exam, you will not be able to apply.

C-Unit (Business Education Department)

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary, Diploma-in-Business Studies, Diploma-in-Commerce, and Business Management examinations in Business Education will have a minimum GPA of 7.50 in the Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations (including 4th subject). You can. However, if you have a GPA of less than 3.00 in any exam, you will not be able to apply.

At the Higher Secondary level, candidates from Diploma-in-Business Studies, Diploma-in-Commerce, and Business Management must have an accounting subject and have a minimum B-grade (Grade-point 3.0) in that subject.

D-Unit (integrated component)

  • Secondary and Higher Secondary of Humanities and all the candidates who have passed the Alim Examination in the Humanities of Madrasa Education Baird who have obtained GPA in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations (including 4th subject) have a minimum GPA of 6.50 (Secondary / Equivalent and Higher Secondary / Equivalent examinations separately. 3.00) They can apply for admission.

F-Unit (Fine Arts Department)

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in any branch have a minimum GPA of 6.50 in the Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations (including 4th subject) and can apply for admission. However, if you have a GPA of less than 3.00 in any exam, you will not be able to apply.

Distribution of DU admission test

Dhaka University 2021-2022 – Academic year admission test will be number 100. MCQ test number 70 has been done. On the other hand, the total number of written tests will be 40. The total time of the admission test has been fixed at 1.30 hours. There will be 45 minutes for MCQ and written tests separately.

The use of mobile phones, calculators, clocks, and pens with any kind of electric device is strictly prohibited in the admission test center.

GPA number

Secondary and higher secondary or equivalent results (GPA) are assigned 20 marks.
